Being A Drug Addict Should Not Be A Crime,
Locking One Up Should Be
Addicts Need Treatment, Not Incarceration
It is a privilege and and honor to partner with The Kennebec County Sheriff’s Department, The Augusta Police Department, the City of Augusta and the State of Maine to bring treatment services to a once underserved or forgotten population.
Enso Recovery with current Opioid Use Disorder treatment programs in Westbrook and Sanford Maine will be closing on a 6,000 sq ft building on Western Avenue in Augusta, Maine on April 22, 2019. This facility will house a four stage outpatient medication assisted treatment program and as well as a recovery residence for eight people. Enso currently operates a medication assisted treatment program designed for persons incarcerated suffering from Opioid Use Disorders in the Kennebec Jail. This new facility will provide housing for persons released into the community as well as for persons seeking treatment residing in the greater Augusta area. “Our objective is to provide a full continuum of care that enables our clients the necessary time and supports to establish a stable foundation in their recovery and assist in their re-integration into their respective communities. “
More Information:
Medication Management: ENSO has 2 American Board of Addiction Medicine certified doctors. All medications are prescribed by doctors, there are no medications dispensed by ENSO Recovery, nor are there medications stored for prescriptions on any ENSO site.
Recovery Residences: Our Recovery Residences are co-managed by two house managers with 24/7 access to supervisory clinical staff and are MAT (Medication Assisted Treatment) friendly. Each resident has their own safe with a digital combination (supervisor has override key). Residents are subject to all house rules, curfew, toxicology testing, medication counts, and many other rules for the safety of our residents and the community in which they live.
All services provided at ENSO Recovery are scheduled appointments. We do not offer a walk-in clinic, on demand service, nor do we dispense medication. ENSO Recovery operates very much the same as any other doctor’s office in terms of day to day functioning.
ENSO Recovery management and supervisors have been working in the field of substance abuse and mental health for no less than 20 years each. Collectively we have over 100 years of experience. We have all worked in nearly every level of care in the helping profession.
