ENSO Recovery has joined forces with The Choopers Foundation  and Onboard to provide scholarships for those in Recovery to become Recovery Coaches. Here is an opportunity to give back what has been given to you which is, in essence, your life. There is an old philosophy in the 12 step communities – You can only keep what you have by giving it away. By guiding others in their recovery journey, you not only help others but you also re-enforce your commitment to your recovery each time you reach out to a person still suffering. Giving back is the essence to sustainable recovery.

What is a Recovery Coach

“A Recovery Coach is a person who helps remove personal and environmental obstacles to recovery, links the newly recovering person to the recovering community, and serves as a personal guide and mentor in the management of personal and family recovery.

Such supports are generated by mobilizing volunteer resources within the recovery com- munity, or provided by the recovery coach where such natural support networks are lacking.”
